SUMMARY:Muslimah Voices: Challenging Media Misrepresentations
DESCRIPTION:🎤 SPEAKER CALLOUT 🎤 \nWe are looking for Muslim Women speakers to be on our next muslimah Voices panel event where we are holding an online discussion on how we can address the negative representation of Muslim Women as being backward\, oppressed and domestically oriented in the mainstream media.  \nWe want to hear directly from Muslim Women who have researched this subject as well as those working in the broadcast:print media or in public relations about their experiences and what they think needs to be done. We are providing this platform for Muslim Women to talk about subjects that are pertinent to them.  \nIf you’re interested\, then send your proposal in to Sidrah@outreachealing.org  \nDeadline for proposals is 19th October at 9pm.
