DESCRIPTION:November is Islamophobia Awareness Month and Purley Masjid will be hosting an insightful talk on the Causes and Cures of Islamophobia given by MEND who arrange hundreds of Islamophobia awareness events around the UK during November. \nThis particular talk guides the community in identifying Islamophobia in all its forms (in the street\, the media\, at work and in schools) then advises them how to report it effectively to the right authorities (Police\, Media watchdog\, Local council) and how anyone can receive support and advice from MEND. This is especially important as the number of attacks increase whenever there is any high profile incident reported in the news.
