Join the conversation with an all female panel as they discuss experiences of discrimination. Take a look behind the stereotypes and prejudices that Muslim women face in today’s society and explore the intersectional issues that make this such an important conversation.
An interactive afternoon at the prestigious MAC in Birmingham, Cannon Hill Park. Audience participation encouraged.

Meet The Panel!
Hamda Mohamed – A Human Rights Activist, Youth Advocate, a key member of MAB Youth. Recently has taken part in European Parliament for European Youth Event.
Thaminah Aziz – Founder of Sakeenah Foundation, a community and Human Rights Activist, campaigning and raising awareness for Muslim women’s rights in UK.
Haniya Aadam – Press Relations for Muslim organisations and an advocate for Revert support groups. Also involved with Mend delivering Project Support
Faiza Mukith – A lawyer with expertise in pro bono and employment law. She is the Islamophobia Response Unit’s Head of Legal, assisting victims of Islamophobia.

Shreen Mahmood – Muslims Connect Founder, making several appearances on TV with BBC Midlands Today, The BIG Questions and Islam Channel. She is World Hijab Day UK Ambassador featuring on BBC Sounds in response to EC ruling on Hijab. She is a Humanitarian and is often found on the front line delivering Aid to Refugee Camps. She has been presented a Peace Ambassador Award by Women’s Federation for World Peace in the House of Commons, Unsung Heroine by SheAwards UK, and Best Community Initiative Finalist by British Muslim Awards.
